In 2005 Dun Laoghaire College of Further Education (DCFE) set up their record label, DCFE Records, recently re-named DCFE MUSIC, In less than 11 months DCFE’s students recorded, mixed, promoted and released two hit albums “Experimental Logic” and “One Good Jukebox”. The record label presented many opportunities for students who got to experience and taste the music industry in many areas, including sound recording, organising photo shoots, promotional gigs, in store performances and the album launch. DCFE s later Album "Our Space", hit the top 5 in the Irish Compilation charts on Friday 29th of March, 2007!

2010 anticipates the arrival of the ‘I love Festival’Album DCFE’s tribute to festival culture most exciting project yet. Over 3O acts contribute their original music to this eclectic mix of home made DJ music, hip-hop, rock, alternative and everything else in between. This is a feast for all music lovers; a must buy, DIY ode to the Irish music scene.

With acts from all over the globe in tow, I LOVE FESTIVAL features groups from Dublin, Cork, Belgium, Russia, Dundalk and beyond. 2 Cds, 4 stages of transient musical behavior. I LOVE FESTIVAL takes student albums to another level and is sure to put some of these rising stars on the map.
